12 week bootcamp, 3 training sessions per week. All clients were given structured meal plans including shopping lists. Local butchers, A Cut Above provided meat in weighed portion sizes. Collectively, the group lost 197.25kgs & 15.16 metres in girth measurements!
Amazing results! Particularly notable, Amy Sempel, whose weight loss and fitness journey was featured in the Herald Sun!!
Great attitude and commitment from all who attended Mega Bootcamp 2010.

I joined Superfit boxing in feb 2010, Jodie and her team have helped me loose 50kg , with boot camp and boxing classes, they are continuously challenging yet fun, there is no such thing as cant with Superfit boxing, they encourage you to give it your all plus that bit more.

Because I breed adorable sleepless babies after 3 I was feeling tired and crappy. Friends were giving Superfit a go and I went along for a P.T. session with Jodie. OMG, I nearly died but loved it and went the next week. We had Matt and golly gosh we blushed. THOSE EYES, the gorgeous thing, if he wore sunnies we’d be right but we still preserved.
Soon I started a Bootcamp and family and friends still can’t believe I now wake up at 5.30. I’ve never been a morning person, you probably all know that I think the brain starts working at about 6.30 and I struggle with conversations at that hour.
I started all this with 12kg to lose. I’m 5 down and 7 to go. That will happen and I know but most importantly since commencing Bootcamps I feel so much better, more energy. A better wife, a better mum, a better friend. And that’s what it’s all about.
Jodie, Matt, Margie, Daniel, I can’t forget cheerleader! Thanks for all your support. You are all my angels!! I am so grateful you have come into my life.
Cheers,
Belinda

Superfit Boxing for me has been life changing. And I recommend Bootcamp to anyone who has the commitment to change for the better, to learn and understand self motivation and to have a great time. I can skip, run and jump, and I feel like I am back in my 20’s again. Thanks Jodie and the team

Once upon a time I thought winning was everything, and to me what that when was to compete and beat your opponent, but what I have learned is the hardest opponent to beat is yourself and your own mental stat which can be the most challenging of any.
My life before Bootcamp on the surface was fine, but I had a war going on inside me, I was depressed, overweight, sluggish, tired all the time, lacked confidence, drank too much and had no idea how to pull myself out of this black hole which was sucking me dry.
Finally about four months ago my head was getting in a better place and I sort of knew what I needed to do but no idea how to do it and was too scared to walk in anywhere gym ect, and ask for help. Then a very special person did an amazing thing for me, she unbeknown to me she entered me into the Mega Boot Camp, signed seal and delivered (No Way Out). I was beside myself, so scared but excited, could this be the answer?
Then the journey started:
Day 1 Boot Camp, so nervous and so scared; I know how out of shape I am. Then we all did the testing and yup, I was in a bad way, I had been deceiving myself all this time saying I’m not too bad, but testing doesn’t lie, it was quite shocking. Now I’m scared, but think, well, here I am I can’t go anywhere, I certainly can’t quit, just try and get a bit better and it might start turning for you.
Well I had no idea how much better is was possible to get in 12 weeks, with the amazing Jodie, Matt, Margie and Daniel and all the girls and all their encouragement and determination, which just sucked you up and pulled you over the line. It was awesome! One week you’re struggling, thinking, I can’t do this and before you know it you are doing that and much more.... You cannot fail.
Today we did our final test and Bootcamp is finally over, however for me the journey is just the beginning. If I can achieve so much in 12 weeks, what is possible in 12 months? So yes, I intend to keep training with Jodie and her team and I will continue to reset my goals and I will win and smash every one of them, it feels great to be on the winning team again.
I have so many people I need to thank, although too often words are never enough. To Pat Bailey, you are my saviour in so many ways, to Gary, your encouragement and confidence in me was awesome, to Jackson who keeps pushing me as its never good enough and I can do it better, to all my drinking friends – thanks for backing off and letting me to tea tettler, to all the girls at Bootcamp you are all inspirational and an awesome bunch. To Matt, Daniel and Margie, you are three awesome trainers, very encouraging, tough, great technicians and bast #$@* at times but you are all doing great work in helping people turn their lives around and you should all be very proud of yourselves.
Then there was one.
Jodie Addison – what can you say, most of you out there know it, but it still needs to be said. Jodie you are an inspirational person, caring and compassionate, you have put together an awesome program which continues to evolve and you have surrounded yourself with great people (very smart), you are the ultimate task master but most of all you change peoples’ lives. You are very good at what you do so don’t ever stop doing it, what can I say? ‘Thankyou’, they are such little insignificant words but there are no words.
I look forward to continue my training with you and have a long way to go, but now I know it is possible and I will succeed.

I’ve been with Jodie & Superfit Boxing for over 12 months. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Even though the classes are physically challenging, the friendly & supportive atmosphere somehow make the classes a little easier.
I’ve managed to lose 47 kgs in the time I’ve been here and I feel great because of it. My self esteem and confidence are now high, it’s just an amazing feeling being fit and healthy. I highly recommend Superfit Boxing to anyone wanting to lose weight and/or to get fit.

I started Bootcamp at a time when I was feeling sluggish and lacking the motivation required for my studies.
The regular exercise sessions we did with Bootcamp have improved my energy levels significantly and helped me complete my corse.
An added bonus has been the weight loss and improved fitness I have also achieved.
Initially I wasn’t keen to follow a meal plan – I had done four week Bootcamps’ before and had managed to still lose cm from my gut which was always pleasing. But as the meal plan was a part of this program I decided to give it a go. Not only did I lose cm from my body, but I also managed to drop a few kilos too – always a nice feeling.
The other added bonus at this Bootcamp would have to be the fantastic support and encouragement from all the other team members (especially when I was struggling to keep going for even breathe).
We all have similar goals and everyone has been great motivating and spiring each other on and showing genuine interest in others achievements.
Having 4 trainers has also been a good addition to the program as there is always someone there guiding and pushing you along. Thanks to Paula for doing this Bootcamp with me – its easier to get out of bed in the morning if you know someone is relying on you to pick them u, or will be in your drive way any minute.
Thanks Jodie – it was awesome and I’m rapt with my results. I’ll be back.

Here at the end of 2010 Meg Bootcamp, I am reflecting on the time I have been involved with Jodie and the Superfit boxing team. I have completed 3 Bootcamps in 2009, the first being in June, and every Bootcamp in 2010. I have also participated in many classes, attended the running group nearly every Saturday morning and followed a Nutritional Meal Plan since June 2010. It is this wide variety of different activities, as well as the support and encouragements received every session that have helped me achieve my goals.
I will unashamedly tell you I have taken full advantage of every opportunity that is offered. Jodie, Matt, Adele, Margie and Daniel, are always available for any extra assistance or advice and they have an unwavering belief that anybody can achieve whatever they set out to do if they work hard enough.
I can guarantee that if you work hard enough you too can achieve your goals with the Superfit Boxing Team.

When I started out this mega Boot camp journey, I never set out to win as winning is not everything. I came to realization very quickly that the only person I needed to beat in a race of 30 was myself and no one else, which is also the hardest thing to do.
The goals that I had set for myself were too high, and by the end of this journey I have come to realize that taking baby steps is okay too; to me it doesn’t matter if it takes a little while long to get what I want to be as long as I get there and that’s the point of this whole experience.
Over the past 3 months I have experienced pain in the legs, the arms, the back, the hands, the stomach, the feet, the butt, the ears (from Jodie’s screaming to work harder) and the face (where Daniel pushed my hand which then flew back and hit my face, talk about being over-excited to box)! But all that aside I would not change a single moment of this experience for all the junk food in the world.
Plato once said, “The first and best victory is to conquer one’s self”, and conquered I did, I have cute 3 minutes plus off my endurance run, adding 30 seconds plus to the plank hold, 6 extra push ups on toes and 6 extra sit ups and have raised a whole level and a bit in the beep test.
I would like to say thank you to all the trainers for being big pains in the gluteus maximus just kidding but not really, to the girls that I trained with thank you for the love and support each morning through the rain, the heat and the buckets of sweat.
To finish off I would like to tell you a quote that I thought is most relavant in this situation:
Vince Lombardi said, “It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get back up”.
So thank you all very much.

"I’ve made many attempts over the past 30 years to make a difference to my fitness, weight and body shape. For a long time I imagined “What’s possible?” But that wasn’t enough!
Superfit boxing Mega Bootcamp provided the environment and that vital element, the culture, which for me, made the difference.
The culture of shared and individual challenges, struggles and success were the foundation of building the trust and building the relationships. The development of belief in self and others, the building of team and community thinking and actions, for me, facilitated the change in my commitment to my personal goals.
That sense of connectedness, we’re in the together! I wanted to be a part of this community, contribute to this culture and the achievements of this community, which invariably brought me those personal achievements that for 30 years I only imagined were possible.
Jodie, Margie, Matt and Daniel, your enthusiasm is contagious. Thank you for that and your focus on my goals, for challenging me to challenge myself.
My fellow Bootcampers, I admire you!"
"I headed off on holidays to relax and enjoy,
Some time with my husband, princess girl and gorgeous boy.
Little did I know that from Warragul – all that way back home
Jodie knew I was having a great time and to herself she gave a little moan!
It was like she was watching me from somewhere in the midst
As when I received her text I was enjoying some wine, cheese and dips!
‘Come and join us when you get back, we’re one short’ she wrote
And it was right at that second when on what I was eating I nearly choked!
My weight has always been like a yo-yo - a little up and down
And when it’s up – my face is usually a frown.
So I thought to myself ‘why not give it a shot,
Who knows – by the end I may even look hot!’
So I joined Bootcamp two weeks after they began
And for a few of those sessions we ran, and ran, and ran.
‘I thought I wanted to do this – to be fit and healthy – it makes a better Mum!’
So I kept running and running – and my personal reward – a better bum!
Over the weeks, we worked hard and came together to become a better team
Of very healthy individuals, that we were all becoming lean.
I have to tell you all though that I have definitely missed my wine
But when I got my results this week – I realized that it was all fine!
So now I begin training for my walk – probably all alone
I will miss working with a group whilst I’m pounding the pavement on my own.
Just me and my backpack on the road every day
So if you’re driving past – stop, yell out, just say ‘Hey!’
The last 10 weeks have been hard, but fun
And with you all it’s been much easier to get up before the sun
So to all of you here – and that includes trainers as well
I’d like to say thank you and congratulations – I think we’ve all done swell!"

My first Bootcamp has been a very enjoyable experience. I didn’t know what to except and was quite hesitant about joining up. But I think when I ran out of Velcro around my netball skirt that I decided desperately I needed to do something!!
My sister Karen prompted me to come and join her on her second Bootcamp and I’m really pleased that I did. I thought the 5.30AM starts would be really hard but after a while I got used to that.
I have enjoyed the training – it was never boring and always challenging which was what I needed. It was great doing it together with a lovely group of girls who were all very encouraging and we have had lots of fun along the way.
The trainers have been fantastic in helping us to push ourselves to our limits in order to achieve our goals. I now feel much fitter and healthier and am very pleased with my results. So thanks to everyone, I’ve had a great time.

Bindy: I was overweight, unfit, unhappy and could not look at myself in the mirror. I had no idea on how to lose my weight and keep it off without starving. My partner was going to Superfit boxing and was getting great results, so I started with PT, gained some confidence, then completely change my eating with the Nutrition Challenge. It has all been wonderful from then on and I don't have to starve myself!!! I feel like I am back in my 20's again!! To date I have lost 22.5 kg.
Kevin: I have always been fit and played sport but the last few years the sport stopped and the weight gain started. I never got hugely over weight but wasn't happy with how I looked and felt. I started PT at Superfit 12 months ago and the Nutrition Challenge 6 months ago and now I am fit and as healthy as I have ever been. I really enjoy this way of life and have lost 14 kg Kevin & Bindy: We both believe that the tools and dedication Jodie and the Team at Superfit Boxing have provided is the best things that have happened for our life style. We feel amazing!!!

Great people, great attitudes, great fitness and great weight loss all to be in one place! What more could you ask for!!!
Thank you Jodie, Matt, Magie & Dan

I had wanted to participate in the Mega Bootcamp since they started in 2009 but due to an injury I was unable until this Bootcamp. The fantastic results I have achieved in my fitness level and large weight loss came with a lot of hard work, encouragement from the trainers and following the meal plan.
Before I started I decided I would give it my all for the 12 weeks (I thought it is only 12 weeks, how hard can that be!!) by sticking to the meal plan – (which is very easy to follow) – and doing extra training as well as the Bootcamp my fitness improved. I even thought that I was starting to enjoy running – but then I came back to my senses.
Once I started, I found the motivation and encouragement I received from the trainers and all the other participants made the session times fun and always challenging and I was able to push myself harder every session, and achieve the results I was seeking.
I was very pleased when my work colleagues also took on the health eating while we were at work, which made keeping to the meal plan much easier.
I look forward to the next Bootcamp, I enjoy the variety, never knowing what to except (sometimes it’s better not to know what they are going to put you through), and I enjoy feeling better than I have for a long time. I recommend Bootcamp for those of you who that need more energy, that want to increase their fitness, or if you just want to feel confident and comfortable in your body again.
Thanks to the great trainers – Jodie, Matt, Margie and Daniel- you guys are awesome.
I have tried many diets and plans over the years that didn’t work but I truly believe this challenge has changed my life forever. It has been easy to follow, enjoyable and I have seen the results first hand. I lost 9.2kgs & 51cm in only 9 weeks. I’m so much happier, healthier and fitter. I can now enjoy running around and keeping up with my family. More importantly, I feel great about myself. I’m more confident and driven and I’m proud to be me. I want so much more out of life, instead of just settling for what I already have. I am proud of what I have achieved and with the support from my wonderful family and friends I know I can continue on this journey, continue to set goals to get the most out of my life instead of watching it waste away.

“To motivate myself to get to the gym or to do any exercise was close to impossible, I was unfit and out-of-shape and found it hard to get back into exercising. You know the same old excuses ‘too hot’, ‘too cold’, ‘too busy’, ‘I will be the only fat person there’, but while reading the local paper one day and eating yet another tim tam I noticed an advertisement for a Superfit Boxing Bootcamp. I must admit I was a little bit afraid about something that was entitled ‘boot camp’, I envisioned a lot of yelling and my husband even joked that they better have the ambulance on standby for when I dropped dead after the first ten minutes (knowing how unfit I was)!! But before I knew it I had paid my money and was turning up to my first session. At the beginning of that 1st session they asked me what my goals were and (along with the usual “losing weight” and “getting into shape”) was to ‘survive’ and to be able to jog around the oval without stopping. I won’t lie, the first 3 days were rough, getting up at 5.30am was a challenge for this night owl and by the end of the first session I could barely breathe, but I stuck it out, made no excuses and with their encouragement and enthusiasm, it has paid off big time!! I have not only achieved my goal, lost weight and an awesome 9.5cm from my body, but I also feel stronger, have loads of energy, better muscle definition and my health and fitness levels are at an all time high. The sessions were always fun, challenging and varied. I loved boxing and found it to be a great stress relief (with work, kids and a husband, who doesn’t need this!!) and because of the variety with cardio and weights, I never got bored with the sessions. Now, instead of exercise being something I should do, it is now something I look forward to and has become a permanent part of my week. My continuing one-on-one boxing sessions, whilst being very challenging, are also great fun to do”.

"When I started the Boot Camp 12 weeks ago I wanted to get fit and lose 15 kilos.
I've never participated in a Boot Camp before and I felt nervous that first morning. Joining a new group of people was quite daunting to me. I felt quite alone and the Boot Camp has been a real life line for me. I joined to get fit and lose weight and I have received much, much more than that:
*Fantastic encouragement and support from the trainers and participants.
*I have learnt to work in a team like a well oiled machine and that has been awesome,
*The power of the group is what pushed me along these 12 weeks. I've had to focus and stay strong within myself and be clear about why I was making this commitment to train hard.
*There was a moment when we were all boxing in a long line and we were all working together in time. I could hear the gloves meeting the pads in unison and it gave me goose bumps, it was a bit like drummers beating the drums together and yes, we were creating a tune. The synchronicity of the group at that moment I will never forget. Together we can achieve so much more than as an individual. There is magic in that for me.
*I have gained so much more confidence in my hysical ability Eg: I did not know I could go up and down strairs like I did with such force and strength. Once again I think the energy of the group really helped me with that. I actually look forward to more work with strairs as it is such a heart starter.
*I loved the variety of tasks given to me as I wanted to have a go at anything that was presented.
Very early on I bought my own Boxing gloves (purple) as I just fell in love with boxing! My boxing partner Louise has been such a great support and stunning at giving me encouragement when we are boxing. Even at aged 55 I think I am going to be boxing for a very long time yet.
My entire eating pattern has changed. I now eat 6 small meals a day. In all my years of battling with my weight that is one thing I have never been able to change until this Boot Camp. I have become so committed to the process of the 12 weeks which I have been able to carry over for my continuing training for my Boston Marathon. I also gave up alcohol during Boot Camp and as yet am not planning to rush into drinking again.
The impact of these 12 weeks has shown me that I will never be over weight again. I have tried so many things over the years to drop my size and I believe this would be the very first program that has worked for me and one that I can continue for the rest of my life.
I am beginning to love the woman I see in the mirror and that is such a fantastic feeling and I feel I have waited my entire life for that to happen.

JANE IRELAND BEFORE:
JANE IRELAND AFTER:
Jane Ireland’s Bootcamp Testimony
"When I first signed up for Bootcamp all I thought about was the $3000! But once I started the classes and even before the first Bootcamp, I realised there was a bigger and more rewarding prize. It was my health! Realistically $3000 would be a lovely Christmas present but it’s not going to last. My health will last and will always be with me, but it is something that needs to be nurtured.
By the start of Bootcamp I had realised this and realised in myself that it was about time I nurtured myself my body and my health. This was the new goal.
So with weighing, measuring and fitness testing done I knew I had a long way to go to be healthy but I was on my way.
I began to enjoy exercise again and began doing more than just Bootcamp to enhance my feeling of wellbeing. Exercising twice a day most days has made me feel amazing not just physically but emotionally and mentally I was improving. My moods have become stable and I have begun to enjoy life on a day to day basis. My partner Mark has also noticed a change with an overall sense of happiness and chirpiness.
Week 6 & 7 I came very, very close to throwing in the towel.
After a lot of soul searching and conversations I realised there were far too many reasons why I am on this journey just to throw it all away.
In my decision to continue it came down to doing it for health, my wellbeing and me.
I love every moment of bootcamp and exercise. It has become a passion and something I need to do everyday!
I am now able to go to class or bootcamp and just enjoy whatever challenges are thrown at us. I am not frightened that I won’t be able to do it or I’ll let the team down. I have the confidence in myself to know I can achieve anything and if I work hard I will succeed. This thought process is the same with life and exercise.
Exercise has given me ability to take control of my life again and constantly feel in control.
Bootcamp has instilled a routine into my life that has just made everything so much easier for me. It gives me something to look forward to and a way to cope with life’s ups and downs. There is nothing better than having a bad day and then having a great workout and it just makes everything so much better and so much easier to tackle!
I am able to push myself mentally and physically in a safe and healthy environment only to receive the huge benefits exercise gives us!
Bootcamp is now over, and I know everything I have put myself through has been worth every moment of pain and suffering! The bond I have formed with the group, my fitness level, the weight loss, my emotional stability, my physical health, none of this you can put a price on or just take a magic pill and it will happen! It takes hard work, pain, trust, determination, will, courage and guts to turn up every day, strip back the wall and push through to give myself the best chance at living a long healthy and happy life!
In the end there is no losing if you choose to put everything on the line to become the best you can be, you win! I know I have done everything I can do and more, I am proud of my achievements and myself! I have won and nothing can take that away from me!"

"With regards to your Technique Night on Friday 13/11/09, I wanted to thank you for the fantastic job that you did during the 2 hour session! For a sometimes "unco" novice who needs to improve his boxing technique big time, I found the session very beneficial and definately worthwhile. One thing that continues to impress me is your positive manner with all class members. Everyone is made to feel welcome and your friendly style with little "war stories" ie: the loser symbol, puts all class members at ease. Even though the Technique Night was a group training session, to me it felt like personal training as you continually walked up and down the room interacting with each class member. I must have enjoyed the night because I found the 2 hours went by very quickly. As a result of this night, I feel more confident and hopefully I can retain and display the new skills for future training sessions."
“I think you are doing a great job! I really enjoy the classes and cannot wait to see where your business takes you in the future. The classes are fun but also challenging, I never realise how hard I have worked until the next day”.
“I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the classes and the personal care and expertise shown. As a result of attending the classes some old and painful injuries went away and I felt invigorated after each class and my quality of life improved 100%, thanks”
“A very BIG thank you for a fabulous time in a challenging yet fun environment”!
"I really enjoyed my time spent doing Bootcamp and the challenge, motivation and support that they gave me was great”.
“I really enjoy training as a group and the positive encouragement during the sessions”
"Superfit Boxing is the best thing for us wanting to learn correct boxing technique and get fit without getting hurt or injured”. “Thanks for your support and look forward to coming again!”

“The most beneficial and positive aspect of Superfit Boxing is that it can be applied to anyone & everyone”. “Each individual, no matter what their age, fitness level or experience will leave each session feeling fit and most of all having enjoyed themselves and had a lot of fun at the same time!”
“It was so great to feel and look good!” “ I wasnt there to lose weight but to improve my energy levels and to glow from the inside out; thanks Jodie for helping me acheive this!”
“We have completed 3 Bootcamps, a Personal Training Program and also participated in many Classes”. “We have really enjoyed the challenges, variety and intensity and we highly recommend Superfit Boxing to anyone wanting to lose weight & improve their fitness level”
“The classes are fun and a great way to get fit!”
“Jodie is a great, motivating trainer who can work everyone really hard without losing a sense of fun, Thank You!”
“Congratulations to Jodie for bringing boxing fitness into the community”.
“I really enjoy doing the boxing classes and I have noticed that I’ve finally started to get definition in my arms which is a great feeling!”
“When I first came to Superfit Boxing I was overweight and unable to see how to get myself out of an overwhelming hole. I was cranky, depressed, over eating and doing NO exercise. In 5 short weeks I feel like that grumpy person doesn’t even exist. I am exercising daily, no longer over eat and I am so happy! It is all because of Superfit Boxing! It is so much fun it doesnt even feel like hard work yet the sweat and pain tell me I have worked hard. Jodie is truly inspirational and really helped me push through any barriers. Ive noticed HUGE benefits and improvements in my overall health, strength & fitness. The fact that my clothes are now loose is just an added bonus!”“I could not recommend Superfit Boxing highly enough. If I can do it anybody can! Oh and 5 compliments in one day – others are noticing the improvements too!
“Thanks for all your help with teaching me how to get fit and get my life back on track. I love the training, thanks guys!”
“Im very happy with how much improvement I achieved over the 6 weeks of Bootcamp. Looking forward to the next Bootcamp!”
“I really enjoyed Bootcamp the people and support was great, not to mention my improved results! Im actually going to miss it".
“I enjoyed Bootcamp and getting the support as we went along was really great”.
“I still remember the first session, I was overweight, unfit and not in good shape. The difference I feel in myself today along with my improved motivation, flexibility and overall fitness level, Im starting to feel more confidant in myself and I have you two to thank. THANK YOU!”
“Winning is not normal and those who constantly win follow an abnormal path. The discipline, dedication & sacrifices are incomprehensible to those thousands standing outside, looking in, who are capable of joining the winning team, yet unwilling to pay the price of admission. Winners win in a fair effort, on a level playing field, because they deserve to win, they willingly pay their dues in full, time after time after time!”
